ITALIAN VILLA

The clients dreamt of an Italian Villa in the midst of an Israeli suburb. Yet their points of reference were less visual than sensual; sensations of warmth and texture and erosion. They sought a sense of place, of ageless permanence within their surroundings. Constructed in fair-faced concrete with ochre pigmentation, the home integrated within the site and engulfed by parasitical vegetation that has serves as an additional layer of permanence.
